Understanding Your Score

Your chatbot readiness and necessity score helps you understand both how prepared your school is to implement an automated chatbot solution and whether your school has a genuine need for one.

Score Interpretation

8 points: Your school is highly prepared for a chatbot and has a clear need for one. You have the documentation, processes, and necessity to successfully implement and maintain a chatbot solution.

6-7 points: Your school is well-prepared and shows a good need for a chatbot. You have most of the necessary components in place. Consider addressing any gaps before implementation.

4-5 points: Your school has moderate readiness and some need for a chatbot. You may need to develop more documentation or establish clearer processes before implementing a chatbot.

0-3 points: Your school may need more preparation or may not have a strong need for a chatbot yet. Focus on documenting policies and procedures, and establishing clear information management processes before implementing a chatbot.

Next Steps

If your score is high, i.e. you need help with support, you have a person who owns the content, and your website is up-to-date with current information, then a chatbot can be highly valuable for your school.

If your score is lower, consider filling in those gaps in your school's documentation and website content before implementing a chatbot and make sure you have someone to manage it once it's live if you do go ahead with one. If you'd like to have one anyway, consider starting with a pilot program focusing on your most well documented areas.
